A rainy Wednesday night saw the Suffolk Single Barrel Championships. The rain didn’t stop play though with many shooters turning up to take to the range anyway.
With the last squads not heading out until 7.30pm we would have to wait until later in the evening to find out who would be crowned the county champions. Defending his title would be Geoff Howlett, who had veteran Adrian Cook chasing him down ending on a 47 only 2 behind Geoff who claimed his title for another year ending on a 49. In Ladies it was great to see numerous competitors and we saw Melissa Smith take the title with a score of 44. In Juniors young Henry Lungley took this title again with a 34.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the minutes silence in honour of Richard Hails, Suffolk CPSA President, who sadly passed away last week. It was wonderful to see such a great turn out and to have his family attend.
Thank you as always to all our staff and referees who faced the weather to run the event.
We are re-opening on May 20th 2020 for practice clays only 7 days a week.. Please see the Opening Hours page for a full list of times, and our Covid-19 page for how shooting will work during this time.
