Press Release From Stuart Smith Director
Local Shooting Ground Wins Awards!
The Father and Son operated Eriswell Lodge clay shooting ground near RAF Lakenheath has made the shooting press this week as a winner of multiple awards in the Nations Favourite Shooting Ground competition, operated by the national publication Clay Shooting Magazine.
“In last years event we were placed as runner up in the East Region, behind High Lodge Shooting Ground near Saxmundham, and we were delighted to have even been voted for!” Said Stuart Smith, one of the founders and Directors of the ground.
“It’s a competition that is based solely around reader votes, which makes it all the more special to be mentioned as our customers really are our focus at Eriswell Lodge.”
In this years competition, Eriswell Lodge was placed in the Bronze position for the National Best Breakfast Award, the Silver position for the National Best Skeet (an individual discipline within clay shooting) Facilities Award, and claimed the Gold Award from High Lodge (placed as runners up this year) for the Best Shooting Ground in the East Region. Considering the ground was only re-opened in April 2015 by Nigel and Stuart, it has made remarkable strides in a very short time. The ground has held competition shoots for multiple counties, the east midlands region, and two national events as well.
“Both my father and I are overjoyed to have been credited with these awards, especially given the standard of our competitor grounds both in the region and nationally! The credit for these awards really does go to our customers and staff team, without the customers voting we simply wouldn’t be in consideration, and without the staff team working as hard as they do for the customers we wouldn’t be able to offer facilities and experiences that are worthy of the nominations! So both Dad and I would like to thank all of our customers and staff for their votes and efforts, we are extremely humbled and very grateful for your support!”
Eriswell Lodge is open every week from Wednesday to Sunday, and offers “have a go” experiences, provides tuition, and practice for the seasoned shooter.
