A beautifully sunny Sunday on the bank holiday weekend in August, saw us hold the East Midlands All Round Intercounties Championship. This sold out shoot saw shooters from 7 counties compete for the titles on offer.
This year we would see the Regional Senior Team title stay with our home shooters of the Suffolk Team, which comprised of; Chris Baker 89, Andy Gibbs 88, Andrew Stephenson 92, Peter Mayhew 94, Stuart Smith 98, Alex Smith 82, Tony Rogers 95 and Daren Parsons 91. The runners up Senior team of 2019 went to Cambridgeshire, who were 24 point behind Suffolk but still 20 points up on the third place team!
In juniors it would be much the same story with the Suffolk Junior team taking home the title, this team was made up of; Henry Bevan 91, Henry Lungley 85 and Jasper Pearce 67. Henry Bevan also claimed the Individual Junior High Gun Title for the day and the James Hinkin memorial trophy.
In ladies it would be Lincolnshire who claimed the honours with the team of; Georgina Barratt 78, Janet Stennett 79 and Saira Boardman 74. In veterans their was a tie between Norfolk and Bedfordshire, sadly neither where available for a shoot off so it went to count back which gave Bedfordshire the win. The bedfordshire Veterans team comrpised of; Glen Moore 95, John Stanton 89, Jim Munday 86 and Phillip Coxall 84.
Thank you to our team of staff and referees who kept this event running so smoothly and to time throughout the day, despite the rising temperatures. Without them we wouldnt be able to do what we do!
