Our custom built 35m 8 lane air gun range is now available for use either as individuals looking for solo practice, for tuition for those looking to improve their marksmanship, and for experience sessions or as part of a corporate or team building day. Air rifles are available for hire, and air pistol shooting is available only as a part of corporate/teambuilding and instruction sessions.
Using purpose designed targets and facilities, such as the ambidextrous tables by Caldwell on every lane, the covered range has quickly gained popularity amongst local air gun shooters. Floodlights are planned for installation on the range shortly, which will enable late evening shooting as the days get shorter. Prices start at £10 per person per hour for lane hire.
Air pistol shooting also available on corporate and team building days.

Our Experience Sessions are absolutely designed for you! We have an expert and friendly group of instructors that are ready to get you into the world of shooting.
We have a combination of air rifles and air pistols for you to use on your session(s), and are able to add extra elements to your visit if so desired. Corporate and group events can incorporate scoring and prizes, as well as the other activities and hospitality options we currently offer on site.

Who can do it?
We have a very detailed policy and rule section available on site, but the key points are as follows:
- No children shooting under 8 years old or under 130cm in height, and under 18’s must be supervised by an adult over 21 (ratio of 1:1).
- Photographic ID is required (and will be retained in strict accordance with GDPR) for the duration of your lane hire.
- No prohibited persons under Section 21 of the Firearms Act – you should know if this applies to you, but if not please contact us for more information or help.
- Own guns can be used, but must not be classed as Firearms (exceeding a certain power limit).
- Responsible and sensibly behaving people only!
Frequently asked questions
No, you do not need to be a member to visit us. Membership is available and it offers a discount on a range of our products and services, however everyone is welcome to join us. For more information, please visit our Membership page.
Simply, no!
However, if you are someone that is classed as a “prohibited person” under the Firearms Act you will not be able to participate in any shooting activities at Eriswell Lodge. If you are unsure if you are a prohibited person please contact us or seek legal advice as to your status. If you knowingly participate in a shooting activity whilst being a prohibited person you are breaking the law and could face prosecution.
If you are coming to us for air gun shooting for lane hire only (not as a part of a group or experience session) we do require that you provide us with photo ID which we retain for the duration of your visit, and all ID/data is properly stored in accordance with GDPR.
You do not need to pre-book practice shooting, however, if you would like to shoot at a specific time or are using pistols please contact us and we will be able to check availability for you. To check our upcoming events, please see our calendar.
All shooters are advised to wear both ear and eye protection whilst in the air rifle range.
Spectators are welcome to come with you (a maximum of two people including the shooter are permitted per lane); they will need to ensure they are following all safety guidance.
You may bring along your own guns to use, however they must be in good condition, fit for use, and under the 12 ft/lb limit for air rifles, and under 6 ft/lb limit for pistols. The range is not available for use with guns listed on a Firearms Certificate, and if found using one you will be stopped shooting and asked to leave. If you are unable to produce permission to hold a gun classed as a Firearm it will be retained until such documentation can be provided. Failure to provide this permission will result in the police being contacted as is required under UK Firearms Law.
You can bring your own ammunition, but please note that we do not permit ball bearings (BB) under any circumstances. We haev ammunition available for purchase on site, but you must be over 18 to buy.
Air Rifles are available to hire, however they must be booked in advance so we can ensure availability. Air guns are £10 each per hour to hire and you must provide photo ID for the duration of the hire. You must be over 18 to hire a gun from us. You will be liable to pay for any damage caused to the gun during the hire period.
We have an on-site café which serves a range of hot and cold food and drink. It is the perfect place to warm up with a cup of tea between shooting, or to grab an ice cream in the summer months! We also welcome non-shooters to our café.
