back for 2026
In 2026 Eriswell Lodge are pleased to be hosting the 7th instalment of the Skeet Masters!
This 150 target non-registered Skeet competition is held across three disciplines, and is open to everyone.
A firm favourite amongst the Skeet shooters of the UK, this event will test your ability to switch between three different disciplines of Skeet shooting in one round!
the format
150 Skeet targets will be shot across three different disciplines.
50 English Skeet, 50 Skeet Doubles (UK Speed), 50 NSSA Skeet (American).
Shot in the above order, and shot straight through without a break for all entrants.
You will shoot 50 targets per range before moving on to the next discipline.
THE PRIZE FUND
As always, we will be rewarding the winners of Classes and Categories as well as the High Gun and Runner Up with a sponsored prize fund totalling £1,500.00.
In addition to the sponsored prize fund, we will be putting £8.00 from every entry into the prize fund for the nominated class or category. You can nominate either class or category, as is correct according to the CPSA systems at the time of the event beginning. If you have no classification and don’t qualify for a category you will be classified on the day according to your score.
Our pay back ratio for the classes and categories is 1 place for every 5 entries. We do not offer a targets only entry option for this event – everyone is in the competition!
the finals
Back by popular demand for this year is the Super Final to determine who is the Skeet Master!
The final will be held on Sunday at the conclusion of the event, with the top 6 scores being put head to head over a full round of English Skeet, then sudden death pairs on stations 3, 4 & 5.
If there are tied scores that create more than 6 people in the final, then the tied scores will be required to shoot off on station 4 sudden death to determine entry into the final. All individual scores from the rounds will be carried into the final, with final scores being added to the round to determine the High Gun and Runner Up. All others will be returned to their chosen class/category for prizes.
awards
We will be presenting awards for each of the Class and Category High Guns, and will therefore require any ties to be settled by sudden death shoot off at the conclusion of the event.
All other places in class and category will be strictly on an add and divide basis. If no-one attends for the class or category shoot off the result will be recorded according to countback, and the result is final. If only one person attends the shoot off they will win by default.
There are no awards for other places in class and category, but prize fund pay out will be awarded to the number of places according to entry.
entry info
Entry for this year has been held at the same prices as last years event, £70.00, with under 16’s at the time of the shoot beginning also being held at £50.00.
In order to secure your place you will need to pay a £30.00 deposit per space, and at the time of booking you will be required to provide a name for all spaces you are booking (if more than one). If you are not able to do this we will not be able to secure your space.
Deposits will be returned if your space(s) are cancelled up to 9am on Saturday the 29th August 2026. Cancellations after that time will not have the deposit refunded.
shoot rules
The organisers reserve the right to add to these rules as and when is necessary prior to the event commencing, and only if the creation of these additional rules will enable a more effective and fair event to be delivered. These additional rules will be shown in the list below and will be noted as being additional.
- All entrants must nominate either class or category (if eligible) at the time of signing in. Failure to do so will result in the automatic placing into class, and if no class is recorded it will be allocated on the day according to scores. Should this situation occur it cannot be changed and is final.
- All classes and categories will be recorded as per the CPSA (Clay Pigeon Shooting Association) systems at the time of the event commencing. The discipline with the highest class (either ESK or SKD) will determine the entry class for the event unless the entrant is eligible for or chooses to enter a category instead. The CPSA system classes are considered to be final.
- In the event of “known ability” whereby the individual elects for class entry with no classification, the shoot organisers and jury reserve the right to manually select the class appropriate to the individuals previously known ability (e.g. has shot in higher classes and received national or international awards/honours, or has shot for their country at the Home International Tournament). If this situation occurs, the organisers and jury decision is final.
- Scores for each of the disciplines will be recorded out of the respective round maximums, to a total out of fifty targets per discipline.
- Each discipline will run in strict accordance with the official rules for that discipline, the CPSA in the case of English Skeet and Skeet Doubles, and NSSA for the NSSA Skeet, unless a direct contravention is listed in these event specific rules whereby the event rule will overrule the discipline specific rule in question.
- In all cases, the Referees decision is deemed to be final, and the organisers/jury cannot overrule a target hit/missed or no target decision under any circumstances.
- Shoot off attendance is the responsibility of the entrant. We will not be contacting anyone to ensure they are aware they are required for shoot offs. You are advised to contact Eriswell Lodge Reception on 01638 534045 to determine this requirement. Shoot offs will not commence before 3.00pm on Sunday 13th September. Please make your presence known to Reception upon arrival for shoot offs.
- Shoot offs will only be required to determine the Overall High Gun and Runner Up, as well as 1st place in all classes and categories. In the event of non-attendance for shoot offs places will be awarded either by default or countback – and are final. All other class and category tied places are on an add/divide basis only.
- The top six scores overall will be required to shoot off for the High Gun and Runner Up places. In the event of tied scores making the top 6 scores more than 6, the lowest tied scores will be required to shoot off in a sudden death pairs on station 4 to determine the top six scores. The scores from the top six eligibility entry shoot off will not be carried into the final. The top six scores, based upon round scores only, will be carried into the final shoot off, and shooting positions will be determined as lowest score shoots first to highest score shoots last. The final shoot off will be one round of English Skeet, and then Doubles on stations 3, 4, and 5 at NSSA Skeet speed.
- Cartridge maximum loads for this event are set at 12 gauge, 28 gram, 7 shot. Wads of any type are permitted. Steel shot is permitted. Anyone found to be using cartridges with shot larger than 7 or heavier than 28 gram will immediately be disqualified without refund of entry. Home loads are NOT permitted for the duration of this event.
- Pump action shotguns are not permitted for this event.
- Anyone deemed to be unfit for participation on the grounds of safety due to alcohol or drug consumption will not be permitted to shoot and will not be refunded for any payment that they have already made.
- All entrants are required to hold their own insurance.
- All entrants are required to hold a valid Shotgun Certificate, or be properly supervised (in line of sight at all times whilst with a shotgun) by an individual that assumes any and all responsibility for that entrant under their own license. Anyone found to not be properly supervised by their nominated shotgun certificate holder will be stopped from shooting and may face disqualification.
- Unsportsmanlike or inappropriate conduct (as determined by the organisers/jury) will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and may result in immediate disqualification without refund of entry fee at the organisers discretion.
- When an individual has entered either directly or by proxy (someone has entered you on your behalf) it is assumed that you are in full agreement with all of the event specific and governing body rules (as appropriate).
