Young guns leading the way…. again!

On a very hot Sunday the 11th June at Eriswell Lodge we hosted the Suffolk CPSA All Round Championships for the 7th year. It really was an exceptional heat for this event, and it was made all the more challenging with the variety of disciplines presented in this fixture.

In total there were five scores of 92/100, with four coming from Suffolk shooters Lee Coe, Derren Burn, John Porter, and Henry Lungley all tied for the County Title. When it came time to shoot off for the title Derren, John, and Henry took to the range (Lee sadly was not present) to shoot a full round of ABT, ably refereed by Dennis with Faye in the background.

It was a tight shoot off between three of our best Suffolk shooters, but was led by the young guns John and Henry from the off, with Derren unfortunately dropping a couple too many to keep up with them. In the middle of the round John dropped a target, immediately followed by a second, which was damage done already as Henry didn’t drop a target and shot his first straight round of ABT. A truly fantastic shoot off, great competitors, and even better for the county going forward with such great talent from our youngsters.

Thank you as always to our fantastic referee team for their efforts in the scorching heat today, and also to our grounds team for keeping everything running smoothly and to time.

Congratulations to our County Winners, Henry Lungley – County Champion and Junior Champion, Alan Coy – Veteran Champion, and Tina Henshaw – Lady Champion.

Full results can be found on the CPSA website, but the class winners and prize fund breakdown can be found here.

Our next competition is the Suffolk Skeet Doubles on Wednesday 14th June from 4pm onwards, there are a few spaces available but please call us on 01638 534045 to book in.
